Destiny 2’s Warmind Expansion Arrives May 8th

Bungie today announced that the second expansion for Destiny 2, titled Warmind will go live with new places, new heroes, and new enemies on May 8th and the full details of Warmind will arrive in a Twitch stream on April 24th. Destinyitem is getting more more details and would like to share with you, please read on!

According to the official website, Destiny 2 season three will kick off with the release of the Warmind expansion. Bungie did remark that the expansion “will send you to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies. You’ll earn new loot and master new activities.” The developer promises to show off the expansion and reveal new details about expansion two during a stream on April 24. Warmind rounds out Destiny 2‘s season pass ($35), which promised users two post-launch expansions. Curse of Osiris, the game’s first expansion, launched in December for $20, so look for Warmind cost the same as a stand-alone purchase. Hopefully, there is a little more meat on Warmind, as Curse of Osiris was light on content and largely seen as a step in the wrong direction after a promising start for Destiny 2.

In season three of Destiny 2, Bungie also plans to change how it’s distributing content for Crucible, the game’s competitive multiplayer mode.

“For every player of Destiny 2, we’ll be releasing all of the new Crucible Maps being developed for Warmind into matchmaking,” Bungie said. “The same goes for the maps we released with Curse of Osiris. To keep the community in the Crucible unified, everyone will see new arenas in matchmade playlists like Quickplay, Competitive, Trials of the Nine, Iron Banner, as well as the new weekly rotators that include Rumble and Mayhem. That means more opponents for everyone. With the arrival of Private Matches, players will need to purchase each Expansion to have exclusive access to play those Crucible maps with other players in a private match.”

The updated development roadmap moves a couple items out from the 1.2.0 update to summer, including Faction Rallies improvements and exotic armor changes. The new development roadmap now extends into September, when season four of Destiny 2 is expected to launch, and includes the return of bounties in the sequel.
